Rosé Fancy

2025

Region

This seductive rosé delivers delicate fruit, fine tannins, and a vibrant, inviting hue. With its bold personality, it’s a hit even among red wine lovers – whether paired with a spicy bouillabaisse or enjoyed during a relaxed afternoon on the terrace. The grapes come from the cool, north-facing slopes of the Auweg and Bühl vineyards, where balanced acidity thrives. Auweg, our sandiest site, plays a key role: its fine-grained topsoil retains warmth like a beach – and that’s exactly where this rosé is right at home.

Harvest & Vinification

Grapes were hand-harvested and pressed promptly. Whole clusters, including stems, were gently pressed under low pressure for a short time to preserve vibrant fruit and crisp acidity. Colour development was closely observed to ensure optimal tannin extraction. A small portion of the wine aged in oak barrels, enhancing harmony and textural depth. After six months on the full lees, the wine was bottled.

Vintage 2025

Following a dry winter, abundant rainfall from April onwards set the stage for ideal vine growth. By harvest, water reserves in the vines were around 80% full. Early budbreak in mid-April narrowly avoided frost, and Carnuntum remained unaffected. A hot summer, in line with recent years, led to an early harvest beginning around 20 August. Small, concentrated berries shaped the vintage. Mid-September rains helped achieve optimal ripeness in late varieties like Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. In summary, 2024 mirrors the structure of the 2018 vintage, with the added benefit of better water availability.
